According to the notice issued recently by the General Office of Ministry of Health, China Health Economics Institute has been renamed to China National Health Development Research Center (CNHDRC) with the approval from the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform. The purpose of that is to fit health reform and development needs better.

 

Accordingly, the main responsibilities of CNHDRC are to conduct policy research on health development and reform and provide policy recommendations to policy-makers; conduct strategic research on health reform and development, participate in the practical work of health reform development; conduct fundamental theory research on health policy and economic evaluation, health economics and health management.
