December 8, 2009, 28 Brazilian delegates led by the Minister of Ministry of Health, MR. José Gomes Temporão, visited CHEI along with officers of Brazilian Embassy in China. An academic seminar focusing on hot topics in health of both countries was held then.

        Mr. José Gomes Temporão has expressed his acknowledgement to CHEI about organizing this seminar and heard the presentations regarding China Health Reform Development and Chinese public health policy given by Director-general of CHEI, Mr. Zhang Zhenzhong, and Deputy Director, Mr. Yang Hongwei.

       After the great presentations given by Mr. Reinaldo Guimarães, Secretary of Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs, Ministry of Health, and Ms. Marcia Sakai, Acting Secretary for Health Surveillance, Ministry of Health, Mr. Zhang Zhenzhong indicated: “China has different situation comparing with Brazil, but there are a lot of similarities in health area. I hope that both countries can work together, improve the communication regarding health policy research and health reform experience, and eventually seek for benefit for all people in China and Brazil.”

       The delegation led by the Minister José Gomes Temporão was invited by MOH of China to conduct a visit tour from 6^th Dec. to 12^th Dec., 2009. The purpose of this tour is to communicate experience on health policy, disease control and traditional medicine and promote communication and cooperation in health area in China and Brazil.
