In November 27,2009, China Health Economics Institute(hereinafter referred to as “CHEI”) signed MOU with Det Norske Veritas (hereinafter referred to as “DNV”), which is a global leading provider of services for risk management and sustainability , regarding the establishment of Healthcare Risk Management Research Center((hereinafter referred to as “the Centre”). The Center will seek its devotion in the area of China health reform strategy, hospital management research and consultation from the aspect of risk management. According to the MOU, the Center co-founded by both parties will be launched into practice soon, which will commit them to the health reform and health development of China.
The representative of CHEI, Pro. Zhang Zhenzhong signed the MOU. He says: “health reform has been listed into the important agenda of Chinese government. DNV has built up the globally recognized mature theory and tools of risk analysis in health area. It is our pleasure to build up a partnership with DNV, develop into a top ranking think tank of government policy makers and seek benefits for all”.
Mr.Per Marius Berrefhord, Managing Director of DNV Sustainability Center, says in the signing ceremony: “Chinese health reform has direct impact on 1.3 billion people in china, which could be one of the most baronial projects in the world. DNV is looking forward to cooperating with CHEI, exploring the right risk analysis and management approach with Chinese characteristics in the level of national strategy and hospital management and serving Chinese health development and sustainability development.”
Mr.Erik Solheim, the Minister of Environment and Development of Norway, Mr.Svein O Sæther,Ambassador of Norway Embassy in China, Mr. Zhang, Kunmin, Vice Chariman, Chinese Society for Sustainable Development and former Deputy Minister of Ministry of Enviromental Protection，Mr. Wang Zhile, Director General of CAITEC and MOFCOM, and some high level representatives from DNV have also participated the signing ceremony.
