The Center for Health Human Resource Research (CHHRR)
The Center for Health Human Resource Research (CHHRR) is one of the key study labs of the Health Economy Research Institute, Ministry of Health. Formed in 2008, the CHHRR is a comparatively young professional research organization on human resources for health in China. The Center is focusing on the scientific research related on health manpower, such as organization, leadership, team work, interpersonal relationships, performance, compensation, labor relations, etc. as well as some projects on relevant disciplines. The center is also engaging in some international and state key research programs in cooperation with other research teams. The work team now is composed by 1 professor 2 researchers: one is a doctor, the other is a master.
The Center is mainly responsible for the projects on the organization standards for the general hospitals in China. With the development of society, the existing pilot draft on the organization principles for the general hospitals passed in 1978 has no longer met the needs of hospital development. In the background of the health reform in China, commissioned by the Personnel Department, the Ministry of Health, a research team has been set up headed by the CHHRR to investigate the secondary and tertiary general hospitals all over China. The goal of the study is to establish a new set of organization standards for the general hospitals, to promote the rational development of the general hospitals.
The CHHRR’s Development Goals:To form an outstanding human resources research team for health in China. Based on the national related projects, within the coming 2-3 years, the center’s target is to develop into a pioneer in the field of the health human resource research by taking up the state key scientific research projects to provide intelligent support for the national and local health authorities to make their decisions.
The CHHRR’s Organizational Development Goals: To form a research team of 4-5 professionals including 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 1 postdoc, 1 doctor or 1 master within 2 years.
